C.N.A. - M Course

July 21 - October 31

60 hours classroom, 20 hours laboratory practice, and 40 hours of clinical supervised practice.

Participants must have verification of C.N.A. registry information including work history that reflects the equivalent of at least one year full-time employment as a C.N.A. Textbook is included. For more information, please call 992-5522.

Welcome to the Bangor Adult & Community Education web site. ­We offer a variety of programs and services to the citizens of Bangor and the­ surrounding communities.

We are offering the following courses this summer: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra I, Microsoft Word for Beginners, and Microsoft Excel for Beginners. Please call 992-5522 for registration information.

Online registration is available for many classes. We also accept telephone registrations with a credit card (992-5523). Participants may register in person at the adult education office at Bangor High School. The office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The Learning Center (941-6315) is open throughout the year. The staff at The Learning Center can assist people looking to get their G.E.D. or High School Diploma. We also have English as a Second Language classes available.

Learning Center Hours:

Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Thursday 8:00 a.m. - noon

Bangor Adult & Community Education is partnering with the Learning Resources Network to offer online courses and certificate programs. Over 20 courses and five certificate programs are available. Click here for more information.

High School Completion

Bangor Adult & Community Education offers high school completion courses for those seeking a high school diploma. Classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. High school diploma classes are free (students must purchase textbooks).

We also administer the G.E.D. exam and G.E.D. preparation classes throughout the year. The G.E.D. exam and preparation classes are free. Please call 992-5523 to schedule an appointment.
