TRAVEL DIRECTIONS TO SCHOOL
Belfast Football (Troy A. Middle School):
Travel through Hampden, Searsport, etc. into Belfast. Go over the overpass.
At the intersection beyond MacDonald’s, you should be in the right lane to
turn right on to Rt. 52. The school is 1 to 1 ½ miles on the right.. Troy A.
Howard Middle School. 338-3320.
Brewer Middle School Soccer and Basketball (Brewer Community School, 92 Pendleton St. Brewer): Take the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge to Brewer, turn right onto South Main St. Continue to Pendleton St. Take a left onto Pendleton St. (Van Raymond's is on the corner of South Main and Pendleton St.) Continue across the railroad tracks and up the hill. The school is on the left hand side of the road at the top of the hill. The soccer field is behind the school.
Brewer Middle School Baseball & Softball: Fling Street Field.
Take a left on to Maple St. from Main St. (next to the Police Station). This
will bring you right to the field.
Bucksport Basketball: Games are played at the new Middle School:
Follow Rt. 15 into Bucksport. Go through the traffic light, past Hannaford, up
the hill and past Dunkin’ Donuts. Take the next left on Nicholson Ave. At
the top of the hill, the road bears left, Health Center is on the right. Take a
right onto Miles Lane (white sign says “Child Care Center”). The school is at
the end of this road (you pass the Miles Lane School).
Bucksport Baseball/Softball: 469-6647
Boys: Go past International Paper, up Main St. At the Ice Cream Parlor,
take a left onto Elm St. Go up over the hill and straight at the stop sign.
Creative Playground will be on your left, use the parking lot right above it.
Girls: Just before you get to International Paper, there is a large parking lot
on the left. At the Fitness Center, take a left. As you go up the hill, the road
curves to the right. Once over the rise, take the 2nd left. There will be a
white house on the right, turn into the gravel parking lot right after it. The
field is the Reggie Gyn Field.
Central Middle School (East Corinth): 285-3177. Take Broadway to East
Corinth. The Middle School is located on the right, just before you reach the
center of town. The playing fields are behind the school.
William S. Cohen School (Bangor): 941-6230. Take Hogan Road exit
187, towards town. Turn right on Mt. Hope Ave. at the traffic light by
Varneys Auto Sales. Take a left on Howard St (approx. ½ mile). Turn right
at the stop sign onto Garland St. The school is on the right, parking and gym
are in the rear.
James F. Doughty School (Bangor): 941-6220. Take the Hammond St.
exit 183 towards town. Take a right onto Pier St. after approx. ¾ of a mile
(There will be a white and green “Maine Signs” sign on your left opposite the
turn). The school will be on your right at the third stop sign. The gym
entrance is the entrance furthest to the right on the front of the building;
soccer fields are behind the school. Baseball is played at the Cameron Field
complex on Mt. Hope Ave (directions to Mt. Hope are included in Cohen
School directions). Softball field is on the left side of the front of the JFDS
building.
Dexter Middle School Baseball/Softball: 924-5571. Get off I-95 at
Newport exit 157, take Route 7 through Corinna to Dexter. In Dexter, there
will be a Rite-Aid on your right and a bakery on your left. Turn left there
onto Lincoln St. (There are Dexter School signs).
Boys: Go through 2 stop signs, the road bends and the game is at Crosby
Park which will be on the right.
Girls: Turn left at the 2nd stop sign, on to Ripley Rd, about ¼ mile at Bud
Elms Field.
Field Hockey (at the High School): In Dexter, go past the Rite-Aid on your
righ. Turn left onto Lincoln St. (there are Dexter School signs) at the Dexter
Variety. Go through 2 stop signs, the road bends and the high school will be
on your left (Crosby Park will be on the right). Turn left into the left
driveway of the high school and bear left, the field hockey field is behind the
Vocational Center.
Ellsworth: Take Rt. 1A towards Ellsworth. Go through the traffic light at
the Ellsworth High School (which will be on your left). Take the next right
(just before the Mill Mall) onto Forest Ave. After 3/10 of a mile (you will pass
the track), the driveway to the middle school will be on your left.
Lawrence Football (Fairfield): Take I-95 South and take exit 138. Go left
over the overpass. The turn you will take is less than a mile (you will pass
KV Community College and Jean’s Market on the left along the way). When
you see a sign on the right that says, “Dick McGee Field,” you will take the
2nd driveway on the right after the sign. [If you get to a sign for “SAD 49
Lawrence Jr/Sr High,” you’ve gone too far]. Go around the building to a
smaller parking lot next to the football field.
Leonard Middle School Basketball (Old Town): Games are played at the
new Old Town Elementary School – On Stillwater Ave, take a right before the
light at the Hannaford shopping center onto the new school campus.
Leonard Middle School Soccer (Old Town): Take I-95 to Stillwater Ave,
exit 193. Turn right and follow Stillwater Ave. past the Hannaford shopping
center. Bear right at the fork and take the first right onto Jefferson St. Take
the first left onto Oak St, the school will be on your right.
Mattanawcook (Lincoln): Take I-95 north to exit 227, turn right and stay
on this road about 4 miles. At the blinking light for Rt. 2, take a left. The
road will come to a “T” at a traffic light facing the lake. Turn left onto Main
St. At the fork, turn right on Rt. 6 and right again onto Academy St. The
school is straight ahead.
Millinocket: Basketball games are held at the Stearns High School gym:
Take I-95 north to exit 244. Turn left onto Rt. 157 and travel about 10 miles
through Medway, East Millinocket and into Millinocket. Stay on 157 into
town, which becomes Central St. Go through the traffic light near
McDonalds, down the hill, over a small bridge and take the second right onto
State Street. The middle school and the high school share the same campus.
Orono Middle School: Take the Kelly Road exit 187 off I-95 and go right
until the stop sign. Turn left onto Main St. Take a left onto Goodridge Dr.
The school will be on your right, the fields are behind it, the driveway is just
beyond the building.
Reeds Brook Middle School (Hampden): Take 1A into Hampden, go
through the traffic light, past the Rite Aid shopping center approx. ¼ mile.
There will be a cemetary on the left; turn into the driveway for Reeds Brook
on your right. Drive past the school, parking and the gym are around to the
far side.
Rockland Middle School (Football): When you enter Rockland from
Bangor, pass Walmart. At MacDonalds, turn right, go straight through the
first light. At the blinking yellow light, go around the corner onto Broadway.
Follow Broadway through 4 or 5 lights. Rockland Middle School will be on
your right (you go past the high school). Take a right immediately after the
Middle School onto Thomaston St. The field is around the school.
