Three students at Bangor High School qualified for the 40th Annual American Regions Mathematics League (ARML) Competition at Penn State on May 29-30, 2015.
The top 35 Maine students from the Maine Association of Math Leagues (MAML) competitions throughout the year are invited to attend the ARML Competition. Bangor High School Juniors Conor Thompson (1st in the State), Isaac Robinson (13th) and Dan O’Brien (19th) will join 32 other students from throughout the State to represent Maine.
“These are among the brightest students I’ve ever worked with,” said Math Team Coach Carl Robbins. “I’m extremely impressed with their maturity in addition to their knowledge of mathematics, and I’m certain they will be future leaders in the field.”
Bangor High School has enjoyed great success in math competitions with students qualifying for the ARML Competition every year since 2003.
