Dear Parents,
The Bangor School Department is excited about the upcoming 2018-2019 school year and has been hard at work preparing for our opening on Tuesday, September 4. We feel great responsibility to make students’ school experiences the best they can be and are honored to have the opportunity to educate Bangor children and work with their families.
One tip for a great start to the school year is to begin school routines before school starts. Implement school-year bedtimes and wake-up times now so your child has time to adjust before the first few days of school.
Please be aware that you may see a police patrol car at our schools during the first few days. This is our liaison officer performing his/her normal duties. The Bangor School Department has a partnership with the Bangor Police Department in which a liaison officer is assigned to work with staff, students, and parents on issues concerning student safety.
I’d also like to remind all drivers to please drive carefully and be mindful of students waiting for or entering and exiting school buses.
Please contact your child’s school if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Betsy M. Webb, Superintendent
