Health Update 6
March 15, 2020
I am happy to share we will have lunch sites set up for pick up beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16th, at noon. Any Bangor student may have a lunch/breakfast bag and they are available at the following sites Monday through Friday from 12 -1 p.m.:
Abraham Lincoln School, Downeast School, Vine Street School, Fairmount School, and the James F. Doughty School
If anyone is in need of the lunch/breakfast bag and unable to get to one of the sites, please call your child’s school. We have offers to assist with transportation of lunch/breakfast bags and will see what we can do to bring to you.
I have been asked by a few parents about how to get their child’s personal items left at school. Although we will not be allowing families in the schools, we will have staff available on Tuesday to get your items and bring them to you when you are picking up your take home packet.
Middle School and High School Laptops
Middle school and high school students’ laptops may be picked up when the take home packets are picked up on Tuesday. Please be reminded online learning will not be activated. Offline packets are available on the laptops and email for teacher communication will be available as well as phone calls. Middle school and high school student email will be provided.
Teachers and staff will be sending morning emails and calling those without email access each day. Teachers and staff will check emails periodically throughout the school day hours for support and communication.
Thank you for your support and understanding. I will continue to keep you updated. Here is another interesting article by public health leader and primary care physician, Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH, which you may find helpful in understanding the current situation:
