Good evening, this is Kathy Harris-Smedberg, interim Superintendent of the Bangor School Department. As shared earlier today, a confirmed case of COVID-19 was identified at Bangor High School. Out of an abundance of caution and in order to provide deep cleaning, Bangor High School will be moving to remote learning for the week of Nov. 9-13. All other Bangor Schools will continue to operate the in-person, hybrid, and remote options.
Bangor High School teachers will be reaching out to students via Google Classroom regarding student coursework.
Bangor High School students who need meals should contact Bangor High School on Monday before 9:30 a.m. to order. Drop off locations will be at Holiday Park, Bangor Tire, and Ranger/Bolling Drive. Drop offs will take place at 11:30 a.m.
Please help to reduce the spread of the virus by:
- Wearing a face mask when out of your home
- Practicing physical distancing (keep at least six feet apart)
- Practicing good hygiene (wash your hands, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching face)
- Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces
- Staying home when you are sick
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Taking care of yourself: eat healthy, exercise, stay current with vaccinations
