Good morning. This is Kathy Harris-Smedberg, Interim Superintendent of the Bangor School Department. Unfortunately, I am reaching out to you again because a second positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Bangor High School. Luckily, we had already moved to remote learning until Dec. 7. If you or your child have been identified as having been potentially exposed, a Bangor nurse or school representative will contact you today and will provide you with more information regarding what you will need to do. Please know that all people in contact with the confirmed case will need to quarantine for 14 days. A negative test result does not allow an individual to shorten quarantine time.
Bangor High School has moved to remote learning through December 4. Students will return to in person learning Monday, December 7. We will continue to keep you updated with any changes.
These are unusual times, but remember, Bangor is an amazing community and we will overcome any adversity
Please take care of yourself and others. Thank you.
Kathy Harris-Smedberg, Ph.D.
Interim Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Schools
