Bangor School Committee member, Susan Sorg had the pleasure of reading a long list of community members and local businesses who have donated to the Bangor School Department at Wednesday night’s School Committee meeting. It is with deep gratitude that we accept these donations on behalf of the Bangor School Department and we thank everyone for supporting our students and schools, said Member Sorg.

Since the meeting, a donation of 125 face shields and mask clips has been received from the United Way to be used by School Nurses. The face shields were manufactured at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine for health care professionals on the front line of fighting the Coronavirus.
