Dear Bangor Community,
A year ago the Coronavirus Pandemic became a defining moment in our history. What we knew as normal changed – and for us, especially how we deliver education changed. Families responded quickly by attending Zoom/Google Meet classes when unexpected remote learning days posed new challenges. These changes, as well as many others, have been seen over the past year and I thank you for all you have done to allow the faculty at the Bangor School Department to continue to provide in-person education to our students. The strain of the pandemic has been great, but so has your commitment to making the success of our schools a reality. All of the families that we serve have been stretched, but have also demonstrated extraordinary levels of resiliency.
As we approach the one year anniversary of our change to new pathways of learning, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your dedication and support over the past year.
Thank you!
Kathy Harris-Smedberg, Ph.D.
Interim Superintendent of the Bangor School Department
