June 6, 2021
Good evening, this is Kathy Harris-Smedberg, Interim Superintendent of Bangor Schools. After visiting the schools and finding the rooms already at uncomfortable temperatures, I am concerned about the safety of our children and staff. Because we are not able to run fans, and students and staff need to continue to wear masks, I am now calling a remote learning day for Monday, June 7. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this year has brought on unusual and unique circumstances requiring nontraditional decisions to keep our children safe. All teachers will be providing instruction tomorrow, so please log in as directed during a remote learning day. Reach out to administration or teachers in the morning if you have further questions.
Bangor Regional will be in person because they have air conditioning.
Please stay safe and be well.
