February 2, 2023
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. As you may be aware, The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for Friday February 3, 2023 starting at noon until Saturday February 4, 2023 at 7 pm. As such, we would like to remind you to dress your children warmly when sending them to school. Recess will be held inside at all Bangor Schools on Friday.
The harsh weather can pose a threat to their health, especially if they are not properly dressed. It is important to ensure that your child has a hat, gloves, warm coat, and boots to protect them from the cold.
Please note that we understand that some families may struggle to provide the necessary winter clothing for their children. We would like to assure you that resources are available to help. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our school office for more information.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep our students safe and warm.
Enthusiastically,
James Tager
Superintendent
Bangor School Department
