Bangor Adult Education held its annual graduation ceremony on June 4, 2024, at the Bangor High School Gymnasium. The Class of 2024 was honored for their hard work and dedication in earning their high school diplomas or equivalent credentials.
The keynote speaker for the event was Cody Walker, a 2014 graduate of the Bangor Adult Education program who is now a pilot for Delta Airlines. In his speech, Walker encouraged the graduates to never give up on their dreams.
"Earning my diploma through the Bangor Adult Education program was one of the proudest moments of my life," said Walker. "I'm living proof that with determination and perseverance, you can achieve great things, no matter the obstacles you face."
Bangor Adult Education Director, Greg Leavitt, praised the resilience and accomplishments of the graduating class.
"These students have overcome so many challenges to reach this milestone," said Leavitt. "We are thrilled to celebrate their success and send them off to bright futures."
