New Bangor School Committee Members Sworn In

Bangor, ME – In a ceremony held today at 11 a.m. in City Council Chambers, new Bangor School Committee members Mallory Cook and Ben Speed were officially sworn in after winning last week's election. The event was attended by community members, educators, and city officials, all eager to welcome the new members to their roles.

In addition to Cook and Speed, the committee also appointed Tim Surrette as the new chair and Katie Brydon as vice chair.

The newly formed committee is set to hold its first official meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend and engage with the committee as they outline their goals for the upcoming term.
