Pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade students at Fruit St. enjoyed a visit from author Jessica Libby and her husband, Bangor Police Department Officer Libby, and the K-9 police dog Jesi. The students enjoyed listening to Jessica read her story, The Adventures of K-9 Jesi: Jesi's First Day of School. The story was inspired by Officer Libby's real-life K-9. The students loved hearing about the role of Jesi and how she and Officer Libby keep the Bangor community safe.
