Annual Parent / Teacher Conferences will take place on Monday, November 24 & Tuesday, November 25 from 8AM-7PM on each day. BHS conferences are scheduled online using the website https://ptcfast.com/schools/Bangor_High_School, which allows you to schedule individual conferences with any or all of your student's teachers-- and for multiple students when you have more than one BHS Ram. In our experience, involving students adds to the quality of conferences, so we encourage families to consider bringing students along for the conversation.
To schedule conferences, click the link to our PTCFast.com web page. With an active email ready to enter, begin by choosing (by teacher last name) the conferences you'd like to arrange. From there, open time slots for all of those selected teachers will appear across your screen, allowing you to choose from available times and set up all of your desired conferences efficiently.

When neighbors need help, our community shows up. Please use one of the two options below to stock the Bangor School Department’s very first “Shop at School” event. On November 20th from 3:30 to 6:30pm, families can visit one of four locations—Bangor High School, William S. Cohen School, Fairmount School, and Downeast School—and fill a shopping bag with needed items.
How You Can Help:
Donate Needed Items: Drop off food/household items by November 18th.
Make a Monetary Donation: Cash, checks, or gift cards are welcome!
Most Needed Items: Canned vegetables/fruits, soups, rice, pasta, cereal, beans, peanut butter, canned meats, snacks, cooking oil, personal care items
Drop-off Location: Bangor High School main office.

Bangor High School has announced the launch of an exciting new initiative called BookBreak, aimed at igniting students' passion for reading and writing through virtual author talks. This innovative program connects students with bestselling authors through live video, allowing them to experience the magic of storytelling directly from the creators themselves.
Recently students from various science classes listened to author Randall Munroe and his fun take on how to answer hypothetical questions using common resources.

Best Buddies Pumpkin Painting Event Brings Students Together
Students came together after school to paint pumpkins, enjoy Halloween-themed movies, and forge new connections. The event not only celebrated the spirit of the season but also highlighted the mission of Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Thank you to Cara Maloney, senior program manager of Best Buddies Maine, and Bangor School Committee members Shelly O'Kere and Katie Brydon for attending our event. Also, a huge thank you to Black Bear Cinemas for the freshly popped popcorn and to Broadway Hannaford for the drinks.
