Bangor School Department prekindergarten (PreK) and kindergarten registration will be held on the dates listed at the following locations:
Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 4p.m. – 6 p.m.

Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4p.m. – 6 p.m.
Downeast School – 100 Moosehead Boulevard – 941-6240
Fourteenth Street School – 224 Fourteenth Street – 941-6350
Fruit Street School – 175 Fruit Street – 941-6270
Please register your child at the school that your child will attend.
The PreK program is strongly oriented toward building literacy skills and promoting positive social interactions in a classroom setting. This program is for children who are 4 years old on or before October 15, 2024. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. However, all PreK students need to complete a PreK screening, which will be offered at multiple times throughout the summer. PreK students will need the PreK screening in order to be enrolled in school. Students not screened by the last screening in August will forfeit their classroom spot. Enrollment is limited.
Kindergarten is for children 5 years old on or before October 15, 2024.
Please bring the child’s original birth certificate, immunization record, and two proofs of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, tax bill, etc.) with you on February 6 or 8, 2024. Children should NOT accompany their parents/guardians at the time of registration. Student orientation will be held on another date. If you are unable to register on the date listed, please contact the school where your child will be attending by February 8, 2024.
