Story by Ama Opoku, Student Reporter for The RamPage: Bangor High School's Student Newspaper
On Nov. 5, Bangor High freshmen gathered for a special assembly introducing Listening Schools, a new student-led initiative focused on making the transition to high school smoother and more supportive.
Led by students Meghna Vijay, Anca Soare, Jasmine Juraboeva, Annika Noblet, Fatimah Almarhoon, Ama Opoku, Lily Coon, and Abby Caron, the team is partnering with Cortico (an ai analysis tool) to elevate freshman voices through small-group discussions.
With support from Dr. Butler, Dr. Stewart, and Jennifer Chace, Listening Schools aims to turn student feedback into real implementations at the school, building a more connected, inclusive community for every new class at BHS.
